What is my little receiver?

This little receiver that I made is a simple RF receiver that can detect interference, lightning, and 120 volts AC. It only uses one transistor and a few other components. It is very sensitive and can pick up many signals around the house or outside. When lightning strikes far away, it makes a crackling sound in the receiver. It can also hear the buzzing sound from power lines and electrical devices that run on AC power. This receiver is good for testing and learning about radio waves and electromagnetic fields. It is easy to build and does not need many parts. You can also connect it to a bigger amplifier to hear the sounds louder.

First Recording

The first recording was in my living room and the lights were off except the TV. You will have to turn up your volume to hear it loud enough.
You can hear some loud and quiet clicks (lightning).

Second Recording

All you can hear is a loud AC hum and you can't really hear anything else because the hum is too loud.
